I started using Proactive

Over my spring break I decided I was going to go to extreme measures for my skin. It has been getting worse and breaking out like crazy so i decided it was time to try proactive. I have been using it for about a week and a half now, and I have a few things to tell you about it. First, it costs much less when you get the subscription which is $19.99 a month, but I didn't know how it would work so I got some products at a kisok (sp?) in my mall and instead of being 20 bucks it was $56! Thats more than double the price. I still got it though, and it came with the cleanser, toner, repairing lotion, a small sulfur mask, and a tiny sample size of the green tea moisturizer. I have used the cleanser every day morning and night since the day I got it, and I have to say I really like that product. It is an exfoliating cleanser so it does have little granuals in it, and does a good job of exfloiating, but not over doing it. Since I do use it twice a day, I'm glad that it is not too abrasive. It cleans without leaving your face feeling tight too but I think that's because it has benzol peroxide in it. Also because of the benzol peroxide the face wash doesn't lather, but I don't particularly care in this case because I want my face wash to lather usually but this product works great without. The toner is a pretty good toner, theres not much I can say besides that because toners pretty much feel the same to me and I have six now including that one. However, when you have a toner with salycilic acid in it it can leave your face tight and tingle your skin, but that's the only kind of difference I feel in toners. Also since the ProActive toner has no salycilic acid in it, you can use it around your eye area and it's nice and gentle. The repairing lotion is nice too. I think it does a great job and I am definantly going to repurchase it as well as the cleanser. The toner is nothing too special so far and I have like 5 besides that one that are pretty much full that I need to use. One of the most raved about proactive products is the sulfur mask. I was so excited to try out this product because I have heard so many good things about it, and I am impressed. Basically it is a face mask that has a texture similar to a clay mask but with a little grittiness. It has 6% sulfur in it and goes on opaque looking but after a few hours the color fades. You can use it during the day for like 15 minutes then rinse it off or at night like I do and sleep with it on and take it off before you wash your face in the morning. You can also use it all over your face, or most commonly, as a spot treatment. I have patches that I break out in so I just put it all over the affected area. I love this stuff so far, and together this system has made me break out less overall. One thing it doesn't include that you still need is moisturizer, no matter how oily your skin is. The tiny sample one they include is good for maybe 4 or 5 uses so make sure you have one. The green tea moisturizer seems to be very nice and lightweight, but I prefer heavier moisturizers since I have combination/dry skin but a lightweight moisturizer is good for the day except this one has no spf. You could apply that seprately, but it's just easier when it's all in one. I do however feel like the product is very nourishing even though it is lightweight and it sinks into your skin easily. All the products have been great so overall I give the proactive system five stars. It you are suffering from acne like me I really recommend checking out proactive.

My famous Glitter Lips!

Okay everyone, here is my famous glitter lips picture. I actually took this picture on Christmas of 2010. I went to the church service on Christmas Eve and I made these awesome glittery lips for it. I love this picture. It's my favorite!

How I did it:
First I used and e.l.f. lipliner for the color, and I think the color was "bitten." Then I used a similarly raspberry colored lipgloss from sally hansen, to give a little glitter and shine, then I added some really chunky cosmetic glitter on top of the gloss. It sticks well to gloss, but make sure you don't overapply! I got the pink glitter from Claire's.

Do you like my picture?
